According to an OTTPlay report via FilmiBeat, Amazon Prime Video has reportedly acquired the streaming rights for Baby John. Thus, it will arrive on Prime Video. The film will likely be released on the digital platform about two months after its theatrical release. Therefore, Varun Dhawan’s film might be released on the streaming platforms by late February. The exact date has yet to be revealed.

The cast included Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Stephen Graham, Peggy Lu, Clark Backo, Alanna Ubach, and Andy Serkis to support Tom Hardy in the titular role. The Music Industry is currently mourning the death of Ustad Zakir Hussain. The Tabla Maestro passed away in the US, fighting certain health ailments at the age of 73. Sadly, the news broke at a time when he was still struggling for life, and his family requested to pray for his life.

But the family confirmed that he died at a hospital in San Francisco. “He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy cherished by countless music lovers around the globe, with an influence that will resonate for generations to come,” said the statement from the family.

“He passed away very peacefully after the ventilation machine was switched off. This was 4 pm, San Francisco time,” said Ustad Zakir Hussain’s sister, Khurshid Aulia, in a statement to PTI quoted by NDTV. Singer Sonu Nigam shared the news of him being critical on his Instagram last night, which was followed by heartfelt tributes from others. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, and other celebrities paid heartfelt tributes on social media after the unfortunate news was confirmed.

The Satyadev starrer Telugu action-thriller film Zebra was released on November 22, 2024. While there were a lot of expectations banking on the movie, it turned out to be a box office disaster. However, now the film is all set to be released on the OTT streaming platform.

The Satyadev starrer has the actor playing a man, namely Surya, who earns the ire of a ruthless millionaire, Adhi (Dhananjaya). This is after Surya helps his girlfriend Wathi (Priya Bhavnani Shankar) rectify a banking error by using a loophole in the system. All hell breaks loose when he is given an ultimatum to pay 5 crores in 4 days to Adhi.

According to a news report in Pinkvilla, the Satyadev starrer will be released on the OTT streaming platform, Aha Video. The film will be released on December 20, 2024. The social media page of the OTT platform announced the same by stating, “When cunning meets chaos, the stakes get deadly. Watch Zebra premieres 20th Dec only on Aha.”

The Satyadev starrer got mixed reviews from the audience and the critics alike. While it was expected to do well at the box office, the movie failed to live up to the expectations. On its 23rd day, the movie earned 4.69 crores. The day-wise collections of the movie have also gone down drastically. After a series of flops like Krishnamma, Godfather, Godse, Gurthunda Seethakalam, and Ram Setu, this film turned out to be yet another box-office disappointment for Satyadev.

Apart from Satyadev, Zebra also stars Dhananjaya, Sathyaraj, Priya Bhavnani Shankar, and Amrutha Iyengar in pivotal roles. The film has been helmed by Eashvar Karthic. At the same time, the music for the film has been composed by Ravi Basrur.

Thangalaan received praise for Chiyaan Vikram’s spectacular performance, but unfortunately, it didn’t help the film gain momentum at the worldwide box office. As a result, it turned out to be an underperformer during its theatrical run. Now, after 17 weeks of delay, the film has finally been released on the OTT streaming platform Netflix.

After impressing the audience with his performance in Ponniyin Selvan 2, Vikram returned to the big screen after a gap of over a year. Also, as this Pa. Ranjith directorial was in the making for a long time and projected as a magnum opus, expectations were really high. Unfortunately, despite its share of merits, the film didn’t fetch big numbers and turned out to be a passable affair.

However, with Chiyaan Vikram’s act being lauded, Thangalaan is expected to enjoy a good share of attention on OTT, and the audience will finally be able to experience the same with its digital arrival. The film was released on Netflix today (December 10) rather unceremoniously. Vikram too refrained from announcing the arrival of the film on the OTT streaming platform on his social media handle.

Meanwhile, the Kollywood biggie failed to enter the 100 crore club at the worldwide box office as it ended its disastrous theatrical run. After a glorious run of Ponniyin Selvan and Ponniyin Selvan 2, this was a big setback for Chiyaan Vikram.
