Singham Again Title Song Review: Ajay Devgn & His Cop Universe Toli Brings Ramdhari Singh Dinkar!( Photo Credit – YouTube )

If any of you have been a follower of Hindi Literature, then Ramdhari Singh needs no introduction. The man who literally translated ‘Veer Ras’ into his poems of heroism and valor. While the celebrated Hindi poet was the epitome of courage and daring, Swanand Kirkire has given an ode to the same with Singham Again title track.

The title track has been composed with the projection of creating a haunting impact of a chant when it runs in the theaters. Composed by Ravi Basrur, and written by Swanand Kirkire, the song has been crooned powerfully by Santhosh Venky.

Ajay Devgn arrives at a very strong presence of a Sanskrit verse saying, “Ugra matta shooram – ati shreshth Singham, Mahaakaay Singham, Sri Mahaaveer Singham…” creating a Ramayan world already keeping him above all!

The song features other cops – Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar but it is a glimpse of Ranveer Singh sitting on a bunch of tyres – an image so strong that you can immediately relate to Lord Hanuman sitting on his twisted tale in Ravana’s court.

However, the only missing factor is the commerciability of Singham Again title track. The title songs of Parts 1 and 2 were much better in terms of acceptance, and people picked them up very easily. But part 3 needs much of your attention and you might not connect till you delve deep.

Still, I am much in love with this track from Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe that metamorphoses perfectly into those ‘Veer Ras’ poems by Ramdhari Singh Dinkar be it Krishna Ki Chetavani – a part from Rashmirathi where Lord Krishna warns the Kauravas of their end or be it ‘Shakti Aur Kshama’ where Lord Ram is enraged at the Indian Ocean for not giving him a way to reach Ravana’s Lanka!

Considering that Singham Again is properly placed on the roots of Ramayana, the title track seems like just an extension of the haunting yet powerful chants of Jai Shri Ram!

Check out the song here.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Ami Je Tomar 3.0 Song Review
Vidya Balan & Madhuri Dixit In A Glimpse From Bhulaiyaa 3 Song Ami Je Tomar 3.0! (Photo Credit – YouTube)

Trust me when I say this, if there was anything that could have lightened my Diwali this year, it was the only hope to witness Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan Ami-Je-Tomaring together in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. In fact, I was so excited about this heavenly union of the two legends of the Indian Cinema that I even chose to ignore an underwhelming trailer that was compensated by just a glimpse of these two actresses!

But some dreams should never turn into a reality. And as heartbreakingly as I realize, I do realize that anticipating this union, probably with so much excitement, could have jinxed this song that has finally been released, and oh my god – what did I just see!

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is all set to battle against Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe giant Singham Again, and its biggest weapon to fight this war was Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit having a dance face-off on-screen. What could have turned into a Dola Re Dola, a Dance of Envy, or a Pinga of this decade turned into such a sham of the highest degree that the disappointment is unbelievable!

Choreographed by Chinni Prakash, the song offers a glimpse of the face-off with the mukhda of Ami Je Tomar and Madhuri Dixit kathak-ing her way to challenge Vidya Balan, tuning into the classic Bharatnatyam; she offered in part 1 as well. Now, here comes the sad part – none of it, not even an iota, seems synchronized, blended, and is so haphazard that it is unbelievable to waste two icons on something that turns out to be so frivolous!

Even sadder part is that this comes from the man who has given us Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast and Jumma Chumma De Detwo iconic songs of Indian Cinema that are used to swear to when it comes to phenomenal Hindi film dancing!

Coming to the music part, Ami Je Tomar 3.0 has been restructured and composed by Amal Malik and additional lyrics have been written by Sameer. While Shreya Ghoshal sings it this extension just rips off the soul of the original by Pritam. Even the reboot in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was bearable with Arijit Singh’s voice, but this latest version of Ami Je Tomar was something I was totally not ready for. No matter how much I love Shreya Ghoshal, it is a sin to deconstruct Ami Je Tomar and its soul! I wish Monjolika never forgave them for this. Come Monjolika; this Dushto Rajo deserves your wrath and fury!

BRB, picking the broken pieces of my heart! You can have a look at the song here! I, still hope that the film does justice. In fact, this wasn’t even the time to release this. This asset should have been kept under wraps for the film, just like the Sonu Nigam version of the song (my last living hope with Ami Je Tomar). Fingers crossed!

Jigra Song Review 'Jiya': Shaheen Bhatt Is Impressive, Enchanting Yet Vulnerable In This Beauty
Jigra New Song Jiya Is An Enchanting Peace Taking You To A World Full Of Calm & Relief ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

Alia Bhatt’s Jigra has released the debut song of her sister Shaheen Bhatt. A new song titled Jiya is out, and it is soothing enough to make you listen to it in loops. While it is Shaheen’s enchanting croon that captivates you from the word go, the song grows on you every time you tap the play button till you put it on a loop!

Sung by Shaheen Bhatt and penned by Varun Grover, the song wraps its arm around you, and you can actually feel the warmth once you plug in your earphones. The song has a beat that would calm you down immensely, and one could appreciate Achint’s composition for the same!

Jiya is one of those songs that brings you a sense of belonging, and you would connect to your past but not the turmoils. It responsibly takes you down the nostalgic lane where you can think about a lot of things while enjoying the song.

This nostalgia trip might be anything, be it the first cycle ride with your sibling, the first brutal fight, or the first warm hug. You might revisit the past, but it would be all about the happy times, and interestingly, none of it has to do with the lyrics. It is more of the musical part that hauntingly yet beautifully hits!

After the first listen, you would immediately revisit the song, and it is the second time that you would connect with the lyrics of this song by Jigra. Jiya saara ka saara, khud ke likhe kisson mein hai dhoondhta, apni kismaton ka iktaara, is the hook that hits you hard. The chorus with Jiya yet again peeps into your deepest thoughts while the song plays on its pace saying, ‘Jaise chidiya mein poora ambar, macchli mein jaise poora samandar, waise mere jugnoo mein teri raatein…”

The song probably gives you a happy vibe more once you get to know that it is sung by Shaheen Bhatt. Just tune in and fall in the enchanting world this song weaves.

Bad Newz Song Review - Tauba Tauba: Vicky Kaushal Brings The Dance Anthem Of 2024
Bad Newz Song – Tauba Tauba Ft. Vicky Kaushal & Triptii Dimri Out ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk recently made us laugh for 2 minutes straight with the trailer of their upcoming film Bad Newz. And now, they’ll make you continuously groove for 4 minutes straight with a peppy yet trippy dance number, which might be the anthem for the year 2024.

Titled Tauba Tauba, the high energy dance number has been composed, sung and written by rapper Karan Aujla. The lyrics of the song will make you want to hit a club this weekend. The song has been perfectly presented with Bosco & Ceaser making Vicky & Tripti moving their bodies just the right amount.

Mixing cool Punjabi rap with peppy beats seems to be the mood of Gen-Z. Karan intelligently keeps the rap part trendy, yet Punjabi is at the core. And who would not fall for ‘Abhi thoda saa nahi lag raha iraada, Choti bahut lambi nahi rakhi hai mutiyar ne, haye dikhta nahi hai paraanda, dikhta hai prada!”

Also, the flirt and the romance go hand in hand as the song further proceeds to “Jaan maang lo main tujhpe jaan waar dun, khud nikal jaayegi tu has to sahi!” Well, who wouldn’t fall for that! Full points to Karan Aujla for bringing another Ladki Beautiful Kar Gayi Chull to the party animals but with a desi classic vibe with the lyrics doing the magic as well.

Not to forget Triptii Dimri’s glammed up presence gives the perfect mood to this song and everything about Tauba Tauba seems to be just the correct amount, correct steps, correct music, correct lyrics and synchronized with just so party ready outfits!

Vicky Kaushal till date has not got a chance to channel his inner Punjabi but his collaboration with Karan Aujla for Bad Newz’s song Tauba Tauba is a cracker! And we are sure that this year the party animals have their DJ wale babu mera gaana chala do sorted!

Check out the fun song here.

Bad Newz stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film is directed by Anand Tiwari and is releasing in the theaters on July 19.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha - Kisi Roz Song Review: Maithili Thakur's Immature Voice Not Justified For Tabu & Ajay Devgn's Pain!
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha – Kisi Roz Song Out (Photo Credit – YouTube)

Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s heartbreaking love story, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, is arriving in theaters on July 5. A new song from the film, helmed by Neeraj Pandey, titled Kisi Roz, is out. The song is crooned by Maithili Thakur and composed by MM Kreem.

Manoj Muntashir has penned the lyrics, and this is the third song from the love story. Earlier, the two songs, Ae Dil Zara and Tu, did not peak. While Tu, a song about Lord Krishna, is inspired by Chhand, Ae Dil Zara touched hearts.

Now, the third song, Kisi Roz, has been released in Maithili Thakur‘s voice that does not find a place in hearts, simply because of the mismatch of voice, lyrics, and emotions. While Manoj Muntashir’s pen brings the depth of heartbreak, the voice doesn’t justify the emotion.

Blame it on the choice of the singer by MM Kreem that Kisi Roz does not impress as it should have. The lyrics are on the heavier side, and Maithili’s folk voice struggles to find the warmth that could either ease the pain of this heartbreak or travel with the pain as a companion.

Probably, apart from Maithili’s too-open, coarse voice, it is the lack of pathos that makes Kisi Roz from Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha less impressive. The maturity in voice could have done wonders to lyrics that says, Main Yugon Yogon Ki Trishna Hoon, Tu Meri Ghata O Sahib Ji.

In fact, to accommodate Maithili Thakur’s voice, the composition has been inclined to the semi-classical end, but even that does not blend with the choice of words Manoj Muntashir picked to portray the pain Tabu and Ajay Devgn’s characters experience in their journey.

Probably a haunting voice by Jonita Gandhi close to a Ghar from Jab Harry Met Sejal or a soulful rendition by Bhavya Gandhi who reprised Queen’s Ranjha phenomenally could have been a much suited voice for Kisi Roz.

Hopefully, the song will work in the narrative of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.

Check out the lyrical video.

Kalki 2898 AD: Theme Of Kalki Song Review: As Prabhas Delves Into Lord Vishnu's Avatar This Music Marvel Will Echo Through Your Soul!
Theme Of Kalki From Kalki 2898 AD Will Settle In Your Soul! ( Photo Credit – YouTube )

The theme song of Kalki 2898 AD has been released in Hindi apart from Telugu, and this song resonates with the chaotic calmness that we did not know that our minds needed. Sung by Gowtham Bharadwaj and a powerful chorus, the song is layered yet structured beautifully. The choir by The Indian Choral Ensemble makes sure that it dives deep into your soul.

The world of this Kalki theme is very similar to Adipurush‘s Jai Shri Ram, but the two songs are as distinct as the personalities of Lord Ram and Vishnu. So this theme brings a lot of drama along with it, and as the song progresses, it gives you a feeling of chaos, but a subtle one!

The theme of Kalki and Jai Shri Ram both were cries for help, but while Jai Shri Ram settled down with warmth from the calling, Kalki has a desperate cry for help. Hence, the blueprints for both songs differ in entirety.

Theme Of Kalki – Lyrics

The theme of Kalki has been written by Kumaar, and some of the lines in the song turn magical when the call for Kalki starts with praises but takes a turn towards desperate calls way too soon as the lyrics say, “Phir kisi avatar mein large kya Prabhu?” And the lyrics very soon give you a spine-chilling moment as the chorus sings, “Ant hua hai shuru!”

The song further turns into a group chant as the chorus keeps chanting, “Dukh ko kare door tu, Tu hi Aatma Tu Hi Parmatma.” The song has been released by Saregama and the lyrical video has been beautifully presented with the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu along with the regular stills from Kalki 2898 AD.

Even the stills have been blended beautifully with this deep-diving song, which is heavy on lyrics and music. The song might be used in the background during the film. Music composer Santhosh Narayanan deserves all the accolades for breathing life into such a beauty.

Have a look at the song.

Amar Singh Chamkila Music Review: Imtiaz Ali-AR Rahman & Irshad Kamil's Album Is An Asset To Be Treasured, Only Thing Your Soul Needs Right Now Are These 6 Songs & Yashika Sikka!
Amar Singh Chamkila’s Jukebox Is An Asset To Be Treasured ( Photo Credit – Netflix India / YouTube )

Rating – 10 out of 5 stars! Some Albums outperform!

The release of Amar Singh Chamkila is still a few days away, but the jukebox of the film is out, and this is one film where Bollywood outperformed after a very long time. Recently, I was putting all my hopes for a good Bollywood music album from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi, totally forgetting about the Chamkila biopic. But finally, AR Rahman, Imtiaz Ali, and Irshad Kamil’s magical trio arrived unannounced, taking my breath away. And this album is the only soul music you need right now.

If you talk about a brilliantly balanced album from a commercial film, you would struggle when you encountered it last. Last year, Animal had a good album, undoubtedly, but it never stayed with you. Similarly, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani was a good album to rely on for some time. But what about those evergreen lists that are still with us?

Well, Amar Singh Chamkila is definitely here to fill that void after a very long time. In the last ten years of Bollywood’s musical journey, there have been very few music albums in which every song was an asset. The last brilliance my soul connected to was Atrangi Re, again a delicacy by Rahman in 2021. Before that, the entire album being brilliant was Ankur Tewari’s Gully Boy (some would argue it to be Kalank, but when we talk about the entirety, the album fell flat). Kabir Singh’s album might be very subjective, and the best of recent times apart from Rahman was Pritam’s Manmarziyaan in 2018, where every piece was a beauty personified, and those who enjoy the lyrics would vouch for Jagga Jasoos.

I’m not getting carried away; the basic point of discussion is the lack of good albums that drop every 2 – 3 years versus the time when there were at least 8 – 10 good albums in a year to gorge on. So, ladies and gentlemen, Amar Singh Chamkila’s album is an asset to be treasured in your playlists for eternity.

Ishq Mitaye

Artist: Mohit Chauhan
While Mohit Chauhan swooning through notes echoes Main Hoon Punjab, the song just grows on you. It gets better with every line and finally Irshad Kamil’s writing justifies the entire film with one line “Mere aage duniya ka rang saara pheeka, apne hi lahu se hai lagaya maine teeka!” In fact, the first song of this album sets the tone of the film right with the first few lines.

Naram Kalja

Artist: Alka Yagnik, Richa Sharma, Pooja Tiwari, Yashika Sikka
They say one uses legends only when required, and Rahman definitely knows when and only when to use legends. Be it using Lata Mangeshkar‘s voice for Lukachupi in Rang De Basanti or Alka Yagnik’s painful eagerness and willingness in Agar Tum Saath Naa Ho. He again uses Yagnik and blends her with Richa Sharma for a folk song celebrating womanhood.

Naram Kalja celebrates the ‘besharmi’ of women with Irshad Kamil’s intricately woven words like “Tu Loot-ta ye sochke main naram tu mardaan hai, par dar-asal mere liye tu aish ka saamaan hai.” A little context behind the song is the image of Amar Singh Chamkila, who faced protests from a set of people who called his songs vulgar and demeaning to women. Naram Kalja is an answer to all those sets of people with women celebrating their inner feelings, teasing each other, and validating Chamkila’s songs in lines like, “Chamkeela Mere Andar Se Bhi Bole Sadaa…”

Naram Kalja is very close on the lines of Rockstar’s Katiya Karoon or Love Aaj Kal’s Thoda Thoda Pyaar, but the lyrics make it distinct and probably rank it better than these two. So yes, you would love to join these women in celebrating their Naram Tabiyat and Besharam Tabiyat!

Tu Kya Jaane

Artist: Yashika Sikka
Personally, Yashika Sikka’s romantic track is my pick in this entire album, but I blame my overly romantic and dreamy persona. But tu kya jaane is a dream come true. Be it the beautiful musical pieces, the simplistic lyrics, or the basic notes changing into entirely different ragas – in layman language, the straight notes, delving into a pop of an entirely different set of notes and coming back again to the simplicity. The little teases between the regular, easy-breezy pace of the song are gold!

As the demure string pieces hold the song from the start, they put a beautiful layer to Yashika’s shy texture and the sheepish and slightly courageous lyrics, “Sacchiyaan mohabbataan buland karke…jeet lun zamaane se main zang karke, tujhpe dupatte wala rang karke…”

Uff, bottom line, the song is hypnotic.

Baaja

Artist: Mohit Chauhan, Romy, Suryansh, Inderpreet Singh
Mohit Chauhan re-appears with this high-energy song, and he hypes this entire album, elevating it to a point where there is no returning back – Chamkila, Tharkila, Saxila Wo…Irshad translates the entire journey of Chamkila’s life in this single song, and Chauhan excitingly translates this journey into couplets. I am at a loss for words to explain, and you need to listen to it to understand and connect.

Bol Mohabbat

Artist: A.R. Rahman, Kailash Kher
Never imagined a Kailash Kher and AR Rahman jugalbandi could work so brilliantly. This almost feels like a battle. The celebration of one’s struggle seems like they offer a cheer to Chamkila with every word sung! As you keep listening to this in the loop, it sucks you in, and there you are in Chamkila’s world. A world you would die to witness. At this point, I am cursing the norms of Bollywood releases that probably let these people decide not to go for a theatrical release. While I can totally understand the economics behind the profit and loss, Bol Mohabbat makes me greedy and selfish, and I want to be concerned about only my loss for not witnessing this world unfold in a theater!

Song: Vida Karo

Artist: Arijit Singh, Jonita Gandhi
Crying with Arijit Singh has been the norm since time immemorial, and he makes you well up and sob with Vida Karo. It just seeps in, and understandably, the song is a sending-off. It is hard to listen to it more than once at a go. You will not have the courage to listen to this one on a loop. Keep your tissues handy for Jonita Gandhi’s perfectly blended closing.

Conclusion

Without seeing the film, the entire album offers such a brilliant glimpse of the film already that once you watch the film, you will be familiar with Amar Singh Chamkila’s world so beautifully. The best part of the album is not remaking any original Chamkila songs. Imtiaz Ali has definitely struck gold with this strategy, and he probably already knows it. An Asset To Be Treasured For Sure. (I don’t know how many times I have re-iterated this; that is how hypnotizing this album is!)

Animal Music Review Rating: 4/5 (Four stars!)

Music Director(s): Pritam, Harshavardhan Rameshwar, JAM8, Jaani, Manan Bhardwaj, Shreyas Puranik, Vishal Mishra, Ashim Kemson

User Rating:

With Kabir Singh, Sandeep Reddy Vanga set a musical standard that few can. Forget Hindi filmmakers; imagine a director coming from down South bringing a project that would be remembered not only for its treatment but the music as well. It is an achievement I feel only SRV has achieved to date. Has he repeated the same with Animal’s songs? Let’s analyze!

Animal Music Review – Hua Main

The moment I got done with this track, I realized this exists because Pritam went back to listen to Kabir Singh‘s album and thought, “How would I’ve done if I were a part of it!” And tada ‘Hua Yeh Gaana’ titled Hua Main. Pritam is listed as a singer with Raghav Chaitanya for this one, and my confused a** couldn’t crack if there were two voices.

They have either done so well to match each other that you wouldn’t be able to notice, or it’s a credit error. This is your routine breezy, chill-vibes sesh track because of its energy and the pumped-up music by Jam8 & Pritam. The lyrics by Manoj Muntashir roam around the garden of ‘Kaise Hua’ (FYI, same lyricist) and are pretty hummable. Also, listen to Freddy‘s Kaalaa Jaadu immediately after this song, and you’ll see how Pritam can reuse an almost similar vibe in two polar opposite tracks.

Animal Music Review – Man Satranga

If ‘Hua Main’ was Pritam getting inspired from Kabir Singh, this is Shreyas Puranik channeling her inner Pritam fan to compose a song that sounds straight out of Brahmastra. Siddharth-Garima goes on a poetic roller coaster ride, penning lines like “Jogi Main Aur Ganga Hai Yeh Ishq Re… Mann Maatam Aur Zinda Hai Yeh Ishq Re… Kyu Lahu Mein Hi Ranga Hai Yeh Ishq Re…” describing the contrasting shades of love of the couple.

Yes, the lyrics are good, but it’s Arijit Singh who makes this song what it is. The trademarked innocence he carries in his voice carries the simplicity of its words with all the grace. It starts with the typical Arijit Singh humming and continues to be one memorable track.

Animal Music Review – Papa Meri Jaan

Since the first teaser, many of us can’t stop raving about how electrifying the background score of the film is going to be. The one-man-show behind it is Harshavardhan Rameshwar, and remember his name because Animal will put him on the map like never before. HR has composed only one song in the album (along with the film’s background score), and he makes it stand out from the rest.

Sung by Sonu Nigam, a phrase that could describe Papa Meri Jaan is ‘hauntingly beautiful.’ I don’t know how to explain it, but this immediately took me back to the melancholic world of Sapna Jahan (Brothers), and much of it is because of Sonu’s voice, which passes through your broken soul. Though the lyrics by Raj Shekhar lie mainly in the ‘happy/aspirational’ zone, Harshavardhan’s music maintains the melancholy throughout.

Raj Shekhar is the person who has written three of the most heart-aching songs which won’t make to any ‘Best Tearjerkers Of Bollywood’ list but will always remain my favorite: Yun Hi (Tanu Weds Manu), Jaane De (Qarib Qarib Singlle) and Ratti Ratti Reza Reza (Meenakshi Sundareshwar). Here, too, he has followed his style of keeping the words simple with the intention of having maximum emotional impact.

Harshavardhan Rameshwar has joined the prestigious league of AR Rahman, Pritam, with this song. While listening, notice how the composer uses the theme in three different styles. As a whistle (Davy Suresh Kumar) in the start, as a female choir post the first stanza, and using a solo violin (Sandilya Pisapati) after the second stanza. He then uses all three together, backed with an orchestra at the last minute, ending it on an unimaginable high. Only masters can achieve this level of synchronization, and Harshavardhan Rameshwar is one of them.

Animal Music Review – Arjan Vailly

Presented as the ‘War Song’ of the film, you’ll need to understand the history of Arjan Vailly to connect with it. The ‘Vailly’ in the title translates to a violent person with little regard for the law. Arjan comes from Arjan Singh Nalva, a Sikh Soldier who backed the army in the Second Anglo-Sikh War, and this is a war cry dedicated to his bravery. Ranbir Kapoor’s character is named Arjun Singh and is said to take much from Arjan Singh’s life.

Bhupinder Babblal, known for his folklore performances in Mirza Sahiba and Kavishri, writes and performs this to justify the angst RK’s Arjun feels in the film. Manan Bhardwaj, the man behind songs like Shiddat (Title Track) & Aaj Ke Baad (Satyaprem Ki Katha), has composed Arjan Vailly, and it only exposes the boundaries his talent possesses.

Animal Music Review – Pehle Bhi Main

A song that sounds average compared to the rest of the album and still works, on the whole, has to be this one. This will individually get lost in the hoard of many gems this has, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad song per se. It sounds like Hua Main and this one had a competition to make it to the final album, but Sandeep Reddy Vanga thought it’s anyway a 3-hour-21-minute film, so why not include both?

The composition & the singing (Vishal Mishra), and the lyrics (Raj Shekhar) – all three don’t match up to the high standard set by other tracks, sounding like yet another song that got rejected from being in Kabir Singh’s final album. It would be interesting to see how both this & Hua Main are used in the film and whether they’ll be different situations to serve.

Animal Music Review – Kashmir

WOW! Shreya Ghoshal is a gift that would never stop giving. If you can lift a track without music with just your voice, it’s not the song you’re into; it’s the soul of your voice. This song is OUT-FCKIN-STANDING (Pardon my French). Manan Bhardwaj’s managing to make an impact in a song relying so heavily on Shreya is an achievement in itself.

As mentioned, there’s no background music during the entire song, and it’s just a serendipitous conversation between two lovers who want to escape from the chaos to find peace in Kashmir. The composition kind of reminded me of the way Piyush Mishra pictures Pakistan in Husna, albeit I missed a certain depth in Manan Bhardwaj’s lyrics. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all in for simplistic lyrics like the guy saying, “Le toh chalu main tujhko wahan pe (Kashmir), lekin wahan sardi badi hai” but then maintain the same range and don’t get all philosophical about drinking love from a ‘Neela Jharna.’ Apart from this single complaint, this song will surely stay and haunt me in my playlist for a long time.

Animal Music Review – Saari Duniya Jalaa Denge

The ‘money song’ of the film perfectly portrays the rage of Ranbir Kapoor’s Arjun of how he’ll burn the world down to ashes if anyone tries to mess with his father, and who could’ve been better than B Praak to showcase this emotion?

NO ONE gets B Praak better than Jaani, and they prove it again with this song. The soothing treatment of the BGM allows the singer to shine like never before, only accentuating his voice. The music shifts the gears at a time when the singer has already left a mark with the tone.

Again, a little history lesson about this one. Before anyone comes to you and tells you that this song is copied from Chitta (Shiddat) or the viral Tik-Tok track Lamberghini, share this wisdom with them. This tune was first commercialized by the legendary OP Nayyar With Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosale in the 1958 Madhubala film Phagun for the song Tum Rooth Ke Mat Jaana (1958).

Later, Jagjit & Chitra Singh used this for Punjabi Tappe – Kothe Te Aa Mahiya in 1979. Then Pakistani singer Musarrat Nazir memorialized this tune as a wedding folk song with Chitta Kukkar in 1987. After that, many singers have come up with their rendition; remember Atif Aslam’s “Kamre vich baari hai, tu mainu vekh leya, hun meri vaari ae”? Surprisingly, no one has converted this into a war-cry-kinda song, and that’s where this one excels.

Animal Music Review – Haiwaan

If you loved Kabir Singh’s songs, you might remember a beggar singing, “Dil todke na jaavi mutiyare ni, dil ae fakir jatt da… Vaade todke na jaavi mutiyare ni, dil ae fakir jatt da.” The name of that singer/actor is Ashim Kemson, who has now gotten a chance to own a solo, trippy song that will voice the ‘haiwaan,’ the animal in Ranbir Kapoor, and he completely kills it.

Ashim mixes the Punjabi folk music using Tumbi’s tune, mashing it up with the electronic beats, making it sound sick. The Punjabi lyrics will take some time to get on you, but the composition is addictive enough to groove on despite understanding what’s happening.

Animal Music Review: Last Word

All said and done, Animal is a ‘Banger-Pro-Max’ album whose songs will only get more significant after its release. It is an accomplished package balanced with romance, drama, and unmatched energy & everything a good set of headphones would only take up a notch.

Radhe Music Review: Another Eid, another Salman Khan film, another music album creating situations for the character instead of delving into the narration. Too harsh? Well, you should read what do I’ve to say about the album.

Salman brings his trusted musicians like Sajid Wajid and Himesh Reshammiya on board, but is that enough? Let’s take a look at what the album has to offer!

Salman Khan's Radhe Music Review Out Now! Will I ever listen to the song by searching in the app? Nope. Will I change the channel if it's on FM? Nope.
Radhe Music Review Out & The Songs Are Missing A Lot Of Himesh Reshammiya! (Photo Credit – Facebook)

Radhe Music Review – Seeti Maar

If you look at just the titles of the first two songs, this one sounds ‘mass’ier, and I guess that’s the only reason you won’t open your album with a Himesh Reshammiya song when you have one. This mistake might sound trivial, but the first song of an album always leave a great impact.

On to the song, it’s outright annoying. It’s not even wrong, it’s annoying, and that’s worse than bad. It starts at a good note laying the base for the “Salman Khan” entry, but it goes downhill from there, resulting in a snowball effect. At first, it’s just Shabbir Ahmed’s lyrics turning this into a mediocre product but then happens Iulia Vantur.

The setup of the song demanded someone like Himesh to hold the mic as Kamaal Khan just couldn’t get the mood right. Reimagine this song with Himesh singing the ‘le le le, dil le le le’ portion; you’ll understand why I said so. This is a pretty forgettable and might be the weakest ‘opening song’ of bhai-films in recent time. Overall, this is “bleh bleh bleh bleh blllle-blllle-blleeh”.

Radhe Music Review – Dil De Diya

The overall impact would’ve indeed been a bit better if the makers would’ve chosen to open the promotions with this song. Totally in the zone of ‘Le Le Mazaa Le’ from Wanted, Himesh Reshammiya seldomly goes wrong with Salman Khan.

Don’t tag me a ‘Himesh fan’ when I say that I wish he should’ve sung this. Despite the “oh, I’ve heard this music somewhere before” sentiment, this comes across as the number fans would’ve gone crazy in Mumbai’s Gaiety-Galaxy.

This is the magic of a good melody, it helps even the singer to shine, and that’s what happens with Kamaal Khan. The freestyle tempo of the song allows Kamaal to go all out. Payal Dev’s rustic voice couples up beautifully, with Kamaal delivering a treat to bhai-fans. Just listen to the first 30 seconds of both Seeti Maar, and you’ll know how Himesh traps you without wasting much time.

Radhe Music Review – Radhe Title Track

More than listening to this on big-screen, I’m excited to see how some ‘tejasvi singers’ would churn a religious song off this. I even have some lyrics in my mind which I won’t write here because I just can’t go to Pakistan. This is the ‘mandatory beats-pumping, bhai-entering’ song, and it’s fun.

This is nowhere near Dabangg or even Bodyguard, but it still holds the swag required by ‘bhai ke gaane’. It’s totally in the “why do I even like this?” category which is an improvement from the Dabangg 3 debacle. It comes with Sajid Wajid written all over it, with the former lending his voice and tuning it playfully throughout.

Will I ever listen to the song by searching in my music app? Nope. Will I change the channel if it’s on FM? Nope. It’s a track not made for those who aren’t Salman Khan fans. For the major part of you guys reading this, this might be your favourite track of the album.

Radhe Music Review – Zoom Zoom

Can we rename this song to Khoon Khoon (kaano se)? Also, Salman Khan fans, would you support me if I create a petition of not letting Iulia Vantur sing for any Salman film? It starts with a catchy tune which immediately turns annoying after Sajid Wajid pump it up to a deafening high pitch zone, and it’s all pure noise after that.

Ash King tries to pump in something of value to the track, but everything else is too turbulent to save the ship from sinking into the sea of “why this was even composed?” melodies. The only chance Iulia has to sound better in a song is if she sings a duet with me. By a whisker, this one takes the crown of the “oh my god, why?” track of the album over Seeti Maar.

Radhe Music Review: Last Word

All said and done; this needed more Himesh Reshammiya! Thankfully it doesn’t have many songs, maintaining a 50-50 balance of good to bad. I will miss the amazeballs craze of the title track in a single-screen theatre, but here’s hoping to the end of this new normal.

Two and a half stars!

Tere Liye From 7 Khoon Maaf Is A Melody Which Every Romantic Heart Deserves
Tere Liye From 7 Khoon Maaf Is A Romantic Song Which Deserves A Forever Place In Your Playlist (Photo Credit: pinkvilla)

Song: Tere Liye

Singer: Suresh Wadkar

Composed By: Vishal Bharadwaj

Lyrics: Gulzar

Movie: 7 Khoon Maaf

We have all loved and adored Veer Zaara’s Tere Liye for a whole lifetime. The mesmerising vocals of Lata Mangeshkar & Roop Kumar Rathod, the ‘soaked in love’ lyrics of Javed Akhtar make it a goto song for all of us whenever we feel romanticly sad. But the bonus credit also goes to Shah Rukh Khan & Preity Zinta’s chemistry, the direction of Yash Chopra which has etched this melody in our mind forever.

But there’s one more Tere Liye song in Bollywood which hasn’t got its deserving attention. Yes, I am talking about the one from ‘7 Khoon Maaf’. Those who have listened to this song or have watched it in the movie know the kind of beauty this number has to offer.

For starters let me tell you, this one has been written by legendary Gulzar. The master poet’s pen has been forever dipped in the ink of purest form of love. It’s almost impossible to believe how he keeps on surpassing himself when it comes to writing romantic poetry. Even when it comes to writing for Bollywood songs, the man has aced the fusion of modern and old-world charm.

In a materialistic time when the expression of love is measured by, “how much money someone spent to buy a gift”, Gulzar writes, “Aankho mein na chubhe taaro ki kirchiyaan, sheeshe ka aasmaan laaye hain tere liye… tere liye taare jadhe, heero se bhi kitne badhe… ham ne aasmaano mein laakho ke saude kiye… tere liye.. tere liye”

Now that’s how you to take someone on a high without spending even a penny. But that’s not the whole song. It’s just a part of it. When you listen to the full number, you know what being filled with love feels like.

Suresh Wadkar’s soft vocals match the sincerity of the song and Vishal Bharadwaj’s composition also does full justice to it. Watch the video to see the magic Irrfan Khan & Priyanka Chopra have created with their chemistry. And there is bonus shaayri as well which has been beautifully recited by Irrfan himself.

Isn’t that beautiful?

Lukas Graham's 7 Years Should Be On Your Playlist Now
Lukas Graham’s Autobiographical Track 7 Years Is Relatable & You Can’t Miss It(Pic credit – Imdb )

Song: 7 Years

Singer: Lukas Forchhammer

Band: Lukas Graham

Year: 2015

All of us have spent the years of our lives figuring out its worth and meaning. Isn’t it? It’s funny how we feel no change in life day to day but once we look back to the years gone by, it feels like a lot has changed.

Lukas Graham’s 2015 track 7 Years does the same. While the Danish pop band member and singer, Lukas Forchhammer recalls his life gone by and thinks about the coming years, it gives you goosebumps. Because no matter how different all of us are from each other and how different our lives are, somethings are always the same.

Koimoi‘s latest Musical Recommendation for you is Lukas Graham’s autobiographical number 7 years as it has everything that it takes you to shake and move you. The lyrics are soothing, impactful and relatable.

“I only see my goals, I don’t believe in failure
Cause I know the smallest voices, they can make it major
I got my boys with me, at least those in favour
And if we don’t meet before I leave, I hope I’ll see you later

Once I was twenty years old, my story got told
I was writing ’bout everything I saw before me
Once I was twenty years old”

Aren’t these words gold?

But it’s not just the words which are worth your time but also the vocals of the singer. His voice takes the vibe of the track to another level. Since it’s his own story, he has sung it with all the passion. Listen to it till the end because its impact only increases as it heads towards closure.

As he sings these lines, “Soon I’ll be sixty years old, will I think the world is cold, Or will I have a lot of children who can warm me?” the level of the track goes to another level altogether.

Music is uplifting and the music video is heartwarming.

Explaining the song Lukas said, “It’s a song about growing older. I’m also coming to a realisation that being a father is the most important thing.”

Sadak 2 Music Review: A Mixed Bag Of Intense & Emotional Songs That We Were Longing For This Year!
Sadak 2 Music Review: A Mixed Bag Of Intense & Emotional Songs That We Were Longing For This Year!

Music Directors: Ankit Tiwari, Keet Gannguli, Samidh Mukherjee, Urvi and Suniljeet

User Rating:

Sadak 2, starring Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur will soon release online. Despite all the negativity, there are people who are genuinely looking forward to watching the movie. The film is helmed by Mahesh Bhatt. He has returned to direction after a long sabbatical.

Mahesh Bhatt’s movies always have complex stories and characters. Even the love stories aren’t the usual happy ones. But another factor that made his movies memorable are the songs in it. So far, he has never gone wrong with music in his movies. Has Sadak 2 music album managed to surpass that or reach to that level? Read our review to find out the same.

Sadak 2 Music Review – Tum Se Hi (Composed by Ankit Tiwari, Lyrics by Shabbir Ahmed, Crooned by Ankit)

Reminds me of Tu Hai Ki Nahi from Roy. But it’s a good song that won’t take time to grow on you. The lyrics are easy to remember. Ankit Tiwari is as usual in his good form. It’s at the end of the song, we get to listen to Leena Bose’s vocals and she’s sweet.

Sadak 2 Music Review – Shukriya (Composed by Jeet Gannguli, Lyrics by Jeet Gannguli, Rashmi Virag, Sung by Jubin Nautiyal)

Jubin Nautiyal’s voice gives you goosebumps as the song begins. What they call as ‘hauntingly beautiful’ is exactly suitable for this track by Jeet. It’s a slow song with hard-hitting and meaningful lyrics. Despite not being a song that one can listen any time, but will be people’s favourite.

Sadak 2 Music Review – Dil Ki Purani Sadak (Composed by Samidh Mukherjee, Urvii, Lyrics by Vijay Vijawatt, Sung by KK)

Another intense track composed by Samidh Mukherjee. Crooned by KK, he takes you on a journey in your head as you listen to the song. From the lyrics, it seems like a song of separation/departure. The violin segment in this song incredible.

Sadak 2 Music Review – Chal Tera Shukriya (Sung by Shreya Ghosal)

It’s the female version of Jubin’s song sung by Shreya Ghoshal. An apt voice for a song that’s meant to strike a chord with you and make you grateful for life. However, Jubin Nautiyal’s version is still my favourite.

Sadak 2 Music Review – Ishq Kamaal (Composed by Suniljeet, Lyrics by Suniljeet & Shalu Vaish, Crooned by Javed Ali)

Javed Ali’s voice always brings a smile on my face. Even with Ishq Kamaal, he manages to light up your mood. It’s a romantic track from the album. This isn’t something we haven’t heard Javed singing before, but still, you’ll fall in love with this lively melody.

Sadak 2 Music Review – Purani Sadak (Reprise version sung by KK)

Purani Sadak is already a slow song and the reprise version is even slower. This one seems like a song that will be used during a significant moment in the film.

Sadak 2 Music Review – Shukriya (Reprise version by Jubin and KK)

This is another reprise track in the movie. The surprise element in this version is KK. His voice and intensity complement very well with Jubin’s voice. This is going to be on your playlist at midnight when you are lost in deep thoughts or good memories.

Sadak 2 Music Review – Dil Ki Purani (Unplugged version by Samidh Mukherjee)

The song is crooned by composer Samidh Mukherjee. Despite being the same song, it’s very different. Samidh’s deep voice strikes an emotional chord. Despite being a good song, this seems like the one that’s going to be the lost gem in the album.

Overall, Sadak 2 songs are good. There is nothing extraordinary, but it has been a long time since we got a wonderful music album in Bollywood. Everything now depends on how the makers plan to use these tracks in movies. After all, a good song requires an apt situation to feel the emotion.

Sadak 2 Music Review Rating: 3.5/5

Koimoi Musically Recommends ‘Wish I Was Your Lover’ From Enrique Iglesias’ Insomniac: For Everyone Who Is Struggling To Talk To Their Crush

Song: Wish I Was Your Lover

Album: Insomniac

Year: 2007

Lyricist: Yacoub Rami, Birgisson Arnthor, Enrique Iglesias

Singer: Enrique Iglesias

The year is 2007. We are a bunch of friends hanging out in our small town in Punjab, India. One of my friends introduces me to Enrique Iglesias and his mesmerising his voice. That’s when I caught the viral fever of Enrique’s music.

Today’s musical recommendation is about one of my most favourite songs of Enrique Iglesias. Wish I Was Your Lover.

While listening to this song for the first time 13 years back, I knew that I am going to play it on loop for a long time. The melodious voice of Enrique, the way he treats the lyrics of his songs, and the lyrics itself – I had never thought that an English song can speak of my heart with such accuracy.

“I tried to tell you how I feel,

I tried to tell you but I’m weak…

Words don’t come easily,

When you get close I shiver…

I watch you when you smile,

I watch you when you cry,

And I still don’t understand,

I can’t find a way to tell you…

I wish I was your lover, I wish that you were mine…

Baby, I’ve got this feeling, that I just can’t hide.”

That’s when I knew what I feel in my heart about love is not restricted just to me.

I feel, Wish I Was Your Lover by Enrique is for every teenager or even an adult who can’t gather the courage to talk to his crush. There are high chances, you may have already heard it. But if you haven’t, go for it!

Dil Bechara Music Review: AR Rahman Bechara, High Expectations Ka Maara!
Dil Bechara Music Review: AR Rahman Bechara, High Expectations Ka Maaraa!

Dil Bechara Music Review Rating: 3/5 (Three Stars)

Music Director/s: AR Rahman

User Rating:

The untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the heart-aching topic of The Fault In Our Stars, instruments orchestrated by AR Rahman, assembling the team of singers like Arijit Singh, Mohit Chauhan, Raja Kumari, Sunidhi Chauhan, Jonita Gandhi, having lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya – has this album every ingredient to be memorable? YES! But, will it be? Let’s see!

Dil Bechara Music Review – Title Track

THIS WILL GROW! A potential AR Rahman ‘slow poison’ track which seems pretty ordinary at the first listen. But soon, it’s a rainy day, obviously, you’re having a laid-back evening, your playlist randomly pops this song up and you’re hooked to it. Though I wish the lyrics should’ve been more in the zone of ‘Tu Bole Main Boloon’ from Jaane Tu… Ya Jane Na.

Dil Bechara Music Review – Taare Ginn

WHERE IS FALSETTO? When you see Mohit Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal on the credit-list, the song by default gets a bar to touch. This one sounds like straight-out-of dubbed in Hindi Disney films and Shreya Ghoshal straight out of Chaar Kadam from PK (this actually could be a sequel/spin-off to that song). AR Rahman tries hard to lure you into it till the end but the lazy lyrics play a spoil-sport. I was craving for Mohit Chauhan’s falsetto so much so I heard Jo Bhi Main from Rockstar after this.

Dil Bechara Music Review – Khulke Jeene Ka

This could be a good situational song at its best. Trying to be uplifting, the lyrics still aren’t doing any justice to the music. This is when Amitabh Bhattacharya takes himself too seriously to deliver ‘simple’ content. “Aao filmon ke be-adab gaane gaate hai…” Why ‘be-adab’? You either go all relatable or pen an unimaginable fairy-tale crowded with complex words. The fusion of both worlds ultimately confuses the feel. Even the likes of Arijit Singh and Shashaa Tirupati can’t do much to save this sinking boat and point it home.

Dil Bechara Music Review – The Horizon Of Saudade

For the unversed, Saudade in short means ‘the (lost) love that remains’. Halfway into this instrumental heaven, Rahman decides to shut all the instruments and bounce back with a soft Piano and gut-wrenching Violin. That’s when you know you’re listening to something composed by the man himself.

Dil Bechara Music Review – Friendzone

This is basically a pumped-up version of the title track and I’ve no idea who will ask for this? To be fair, this was apt audio for the kind of video title track has but audio-wise, Dil Bechara is supremely better than this one. When the album’s list was out, I thought this will be the title track and Dil Bechara will have a melancholic feel to it. But, alas!

Dil Bechara Music Review – Mera Naam Kizie

Before I comment anything about the song, there was no need for a character introduction song in this film and this proves why every such song could not be Alizeh (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil). That still stands one of the best character-intro songs ever, and ironically both of them are written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. This one has a vintage bell to its melody which works well to an extent. AR Rahman has worked the most on this song (till now in the album). Be it the number of instruments or their flawless synchronisation. The only thing he misses to sync-in with the song is its words. Both Aditya Narayan and Poorvi Koutish try their best to serve a half-baked song.

Dil Bechara Music Review – Afreeda

This is where Rahman takes everything up a notch. From last song’s vintage feel to an Arabic touch in this one, it’s a brilliant transition. Will immediately remind you of Mayya Mayya (also by Rahman) and to an extent even Ruby Ruby (also by Rahman). The audio mastering in this one is surely best of the lot till now. It’s backed by very powerful voices of Sanaa Moussa and Raja Kumari. Best served when high!

Dil Bechara Music Review – Maskhari

Don’t blame it on me because every song of this album initially reminds you of other songs. With this, Rahman tries to mimic the magic of Matargashti (Tamasha). Nowhere near it, but this one has its own fun rhythm. Very ordinary lyrics holds the song back from being the fun anthem it could’ve been. Hriday Gattani and Sunidhi Chauhan do well in cranking up the enthusiasm.

Dil Bechara Music Review – Main Tumhara

Finally, saving best for the last, a song to satisfy the sadist in me. This feels like a song from some another film made just for the climax of this one. AR Rahman calms down himself for Main Tumhara and this has the melancholic feel I was expecting from the title track. Hriday Gattani and Jonita Gandhi pour in their souls along with their voice. “Main jaado ke maheene ki tarah, aur tum ho pashmeene ki tarah” – THIS is what Amitabh Bhattacharya sounds like. Transits you to another world and exactly the song you hunt for in an ARR album.

Dil Bechara Music Review – The Last Word

All said and done, the lyric department in most of the songs struggles to match the wonder orchestrated by AR Rahman. There, of course, are a couple of hidden gems in there but rest of the album doesn’t meet the high expectations which are always at by-default settings when it comes to the maestro of music.

Three Stars!

Koimoi Musically Recommends ‘Gaaye Ja’ From Brothers: A Powerful Ray Of Hope In The Dark Phase Of Coronavirus Pandemic

Song: Gaaye Ja

Movie: Brothers

Year: 2015

Lyricist: Amitabh Bhattacharya

Music: Ajay-Atul

Singers: Shreya Ghoshal, Mohammed Irfan

Gaaye Ja from Brothers is clearly one of the most underrated songs of recent times. While the album has another beautiful song “Sapna Jahaan”, this is one number which you shouldn’t miss at any cost.

Gaaye Ja comes in two versions (male & female) in the Brothers’ music album. The female version is sung by Shreya Ghoshal & the male version has the vocals of Mohammed Irfan. The best thing is that both versions of Ajay-Atul composed song compliment each other.

The song has a very mesmerising and soothing kind of feel to it. If you are doing nothing at this moment, just play the track and it will take you to a whole new zone. And that chorus by child singers which plays in the background will haunt you for a long time.

Last but not the least, the lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya are top-notch. His words are powerful and have the strength to give you hope even in the darkest of time. “Sooraj tera gardish mein hai, dhalte huye keh gaya, phir laut ke aauga main nazdeek hi hai subah.. Gaaye ja gaaye ja, gham mein hai sargam, gunguna ye dhun, gaaye ja”

Just when these words click your mind, it gives you goosebumps.

Then the whole song and in fact both versions are loaded with phrases that are sure to change your perspective towards life. And if you are a soft-hearted person you’ll have tears rolling on your cheeks in no time. Just touch your eyes when that line comes, “Toota hua to kya sitaara tu, kisi ka ban sahara tu”

Overall, in a dark phase like the ongoing pandemic which has taken a huge toll on so many people’s mental health, this song is a true blessing. Because “Hai zindagi wahi jo chalti hai, ye gir ke hi sambhalti hai”

Koimoi Musically Recommends ‘Ghar’ From ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’: Nikhita Gandhi & Mohit Chauhan’s Song Written By Irshad Kamil Is A Blessing To Your Ears

Jab Harry Met Sejal was all about metaphors. While in the film, Sejal kept on looking for a lost ring, it came across at the end that she was not looking for her ring at all.

Similarly, this song titled Ghar from JHMS is all about metaphors. Plug in your earphones and listen to this beautiful melody and it’s a promise that it will take you somewhere else.

Let’s talk about the lyrics first. “Khaali hai jo tere bina, main woh ghar hu tera”

If you have seen the film, it’s easy to think that tourist guide Harry’s home is singing it for him but if you watch the film carefully, you’ll know the metaphor and that will hit you harder. Ghar is actually Sejal here, who in the film has been seeking a resident i.e. Harry, just like Harry has been looking for a Ghar without understanding.

“Ghoome phire tu chahe sab shehar, tu hai mera”

Harry in the film was a tourist guide and his job was to travel along with his clients and guide them. The irony was that he himself was misguided and it was only when a misguided Sejal met him in Europe, both of them found what they were seeking in reality.

“Mujh pe kab se likha hua tera hi naam hai, mujh me jo hai mera sabhi tera hi naam hai.. Chahat bhi tu meri aur haq bhi hai mera”

When you realise the truth, you claim it will all the belief and passion and that’s what these lines mean.

The song has beautifully sung by Nikhita Gandhi and Mohit Chauhan and it goes deep in your heart in just one listening. It will only grow with repeat listenings and will surely find a place in your playlist for a long long time. Pritam is one of the best music composers we have in Bollywood and this very piece proves the fact.

Mehrama (Love Aaj Kal)

Mehrama is that song of any Imtiaz Ali film which makes you forget everything and literally dance to its melody. One of the most admired singers of current time, Darshan Raval has given his voice to Meharma and we must say that it’s one of the best songs from him.

Dus Bahane 2.0 (Baaghi 3)

Dus Bahane 2.0 is surely going to take you down the memory lane with the beats of Vishal and Shekhar. The on-screen pair of Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger Shroff looks extremely sizzling hot and so do the dance moves.

Do You Love Me (Baaghi 3)

Actress Disha Patani took to her social media and shared a swipe up ‘surprise’ to the song. Hot, live-wire, siren, sizzling- you say it and it all stands synonymous to Disha and the song.

Mere Liye Tum Kaafi Ho (Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan)

The video of Mere Liye Tum Kaafi Ho features Ayushmann, Jitendra Kumar and their PDA. We see them enjoying bike rides, hugging each other fondly and also having each other’s back when the situation gets serious.

Teri Mitti (Kesari)

This song from Kesari will surely leave you teary-eyed. This emotional song, sung by B Praak is a tribute to all the soldiers fighting for their countries on the borders. The music has been composed by Arko and the lyrics are penned down by Manoj Muntashir. The song will surely give you goosebumps with a feel of patriotism.

Shankara Re Shankara (Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior)

The song has been shot on a lavish level and be it sets dance, music or cinematography, everything is so good. On top of that, there are Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan who with their performance are taking the song to the next level.

Malang Title Track (Malang)

The song features the sizzling chemistry between Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha. From the romantic scenes at the party to the bike, and the selfies, each and every moment has been beautifully used to showcase their equation. The lyrics have been penned by Kunaal Vermaa and Harsh Limbachiya, while the song has been crooned as well as composed by Ved Sharma.

Shayad (Love Aaj Kal)

Shayad is composed by Pritam and the lyrics are penned by the noted lyricist, Irshad Kamil. Arijit Singh has crooned the mesmerising song Shayad and his husky and mellifluous voice will strike the right chord with your heart. Shayad has all the feels of falling in love and living with the thoughts and dreams of that special person.

Shaitan Ka Saala (Housefull 4)

Shaitan Ka Saala is like an introductory song for Akshay Kumar which features the actor in a hilarious 1419 avatar as ‘Raavan’. The song showcases Akshay Kumar’s 1419 version with his father being a king seeming to be tired of his womanizer habits. Bala ‘Shaitan Ka Saala’ in the entire song is having a gala time around girls. There are some hilarious moments with Akshay’s tremendous expressions, a glimpse of Kriti Sanon.

Koimoi Musically Recommends ‘Kal Ki Hi Baat Hai’ From ‘Chhichhore’: This One Is For All The Parents

It’s a common perception that modern music is not that meaningful. There’s more emphasis on sound and beats and very less on words and melody. And it’s true to a large extent as well.

But there are a lot of hidden gems in today’s time as well which no one has brought to your attention and we will do it. One such Bollywood song which released last year but didn’t become popular enough is Kal Ki Hi Baat Hai from Chhichhore.

Chhichhore’s Kal Ki Hi Baat Hai plays at a very significant moment and takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. The actors Sushant Singh Rajput & Shraddha Kapoor have done incredibly well showing those emotions onscreen.

All of you who have kids – infants or grown-ups. No Matter. Complete your responsibilities for the day and listen to this gem of a song once. Its simple and beautiful lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya will play with the chords of your heart and its melody will bring your softer side out. KK’s vocals are just perfect for the song and with every high and low note he takes, it makes you feel that emotion. The song is so emotionally charging that it will bring all those memories back right in front of your eyes. The sweet memories when your baby arrived in your life.

Read the lyrics of the song below:

Kal ki hi baat hai,

Baahon mein pehli baar aaya tha tu…

Jinse anjaan tha,

Wo saare jazbaat laaya tha tu.

Muskaano mein teri lipti thi saugaate,

Honthon pe khamoshi aankhon mein hazaar baatein,

Viraane mein bahaar laaya tha tu…

Baahon mein pehli baar aaya tha tu…

Kal ki hi baat hai…

Honge mere acche karam,

Jinka sila yun mila…

Kaabil tere tha main nahi,

Phir bhi mujhe tu mila…

Tere aage lagte hain bemaane sab naate..

Jis tarah suraj ke tewaz mein tamaam raatein…

Kahaan se itna pyaar laaya tha tu,
