The trailer of the Ram Charan starrer Telugu political action-thriller Game Changer is finally out now. The film is one of the most anticipated movies at the onset of 2025 and stars the superstar in a dual role. Here is our trailer review for the film.

Game Changer Trailer Review

The trailer showcases Ram Charan playing a father-son duo. He plays IAS Ram Nandan, a no-nonsense officer who is not afraid to lock horns with corrupt politicians and businessmen to expose their black monies and corrupt affairs. We are also shown parallelly how Nandan’s father, Apanna, also fought for the water resources in his village. While Apanna is shown to be married to Anjali’s character, Kiara Advani plays the love interest of Ram Nandan. However, Nandan soon comes face to face with a corrupt politician, Mopidevi (SJ Suryah), who proves to be his biggest nemesis.

One of the main highlights of the Game Changer trailer is Ram Charan’s fiery and magnetic screen presence. The superstar is powerful in both the roles, and some of his scenes are bound to evoke loads of cheer and whistles. He is intense during the action sequences but has a spunk and charming aura during the romantic and comedic sequences. The actor nails the emotional scenes too. Watch out for the “Raa Ki Raa, Sir Ki Sir” scene, which involves a showdown between Charan and Suryah’s characters.

However, some of the dialogues and action sequences in the Game Changer trailer are extremely over-the-top and do not invite the required emotions. The visuals, especially the soundtracks in some of the stills, appear to be too shoddy. We do not see Ram Charan’s chemistry with any of the supporting characters being fleshed out effectively. Kiara Advani’s character seems to be reduced to the song and dance sequences with Anjali’s still looking a little promising. SJ Suryah’s antagonist act tends to become too loud in some scenes. We can just hope that these dismal aspects do not appear to be too jarring in the movie.

The movie has been helmed by Shankar. Apart from Ram Charan, Kiara Advani, Anjali, and SJ Suryah, Gamer Changer also stars Samuthirakani, Srikanth, Sunil, and Nassar in pivotal roles. The movie will be released on January 10, 2025.

Talking about the Fateh trailer, Sonu Sood, by the looks of it, plays an agent who is hunting down baddies who are pulling off some notorious activities with the help of cybercrime. We are hinted that he is a man with a ‘dark past’ and a ‘bloody present.’ Jacqueliene Fernandez seems to be playing his partner-in-crime and, later, his love interest. While Naseeruddin Shah plays a conniving antagonist.

It can be safely said that Sonu Sood is the guiding anchor of Fateh. The trailer showcases him in a fierce avatar wherein he mercilessly chops down the baddies. The actor flaunts his sculpted physique and channels the angry action hero in all of the high-octane action sequences, which is a witness to his dedication towards the character. Even though the Fateh trailer mostly focuses on his action sequences, we might get to witness more shades of his character in the film.

The makers have gone full throttle with the intensity, violence, and gore. This almost gives us a throwback to the film Kill.

Some of the dialogue during the action sequences appears to be sassy but might ruin the essence of the scene if inculcated too much. The riveting BG score is another cherry on the cake. The movie has been directed by Sonu Sood himself and marks his directorial debut. Apart from Sonu Sood, Jacqueliene Fernandez, and Naseeruddin Shah, it also stars Vijay Raaz, Divyendu Bhattacharya, and Shiv Jyoti Rajput in the lead roles. At the same time, Superman’s teaser trailer amassed 12.4 million views within 8 hours of its release. It becomes the biggest DC trailer debut on a single official YouTube channel after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Superman Teaser Trailer Eyeing This Record

The next coveted record that the Superman teaser trailer is eyeing is that of The Batman’s first trailer. According to Fernando, this record will be easily broken in the next four hours. The post further mentioned that this is an impressive achievement by the David Corenswet starrer because currently, the majority of the trailer viewers have been migrating from YouTube to X. This has also led to the viewership of some movie trailers being affected a great deal.

The Black Warrant teaser begins with a first-time jailer, Sunil Kumar Gupta (Zahan Kapoor), taking up the job opportunity in Tihar jail, citing it as one of the most important professions for the betterment of the nation. However, when he starts his job as a jailor in the prison, he realizes that he has signed up for probably his worst nightmare. During his tenure as the jailer, he comes face to face with some frightening criminals and corrupt police officials but also makes some friends who seem to have his back. We are further introduced to Rahul Bhat’s character, who plays a police officer and refers to the jail as a circus.

Talking about the performances, Zahan Kapoor has sunk his teeth deep into the character. He channels the patience, and calmness but also the subtle nervousness required for the character of Sunil Kumar Gupta. His character tries navigating through the ruthlessness of the prison without losing his cool or resorting to aggression. On the other hand, Rahul Bhat’s character seems to have an ulterior motive and seems to have a conniving shade. The technical aspects of the show are etched out brilliantly in the Black Warrant teaser. The cinematography, background music, and the production design look impressive.

The Veera Dheera Sooran teaser first showcases Vikram’s character Kaali as a doting family man. We see him sharing some endearing moments with his wife (Dushara Vijayan) and his daughter. But soon, tensions arise when we see the onset of a crime against the backdrop of a festival. We then see Vikram’s character taking the reigns to eliminate the perpetrators who are responsible for the same. It is also hinted that Kaali’s character might have a dark past. In the middle of all this, we see a glimpse of SJ Suryah’s character as a conniving cop named Arunagiri and Suraj Venjaramoodu as a dangerous gangster. For the unversed, the film also marks Surja’s debut in the Tamil film industry.

Vikram’s performance is inevitably the main highlight in this one. The actor strikes a fine balance between his character being a family man and, later, a man on a mission to beat up the baddies. He looks the most badass in the action sequences, especially when he ties up his Lungi just before getting to the action. Apart from this, SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Dushara Vijayan also look convincing in their parts. The Veera Dheera Sooran teaser boasts at some slick and gripping action sequences. At the same time, the catchy and adrenaline-pumping BG score too commands attention.

The trailer begins with John (Varun Dhawan) who is shown to be a dutiful father to his daughter Khushi (Zara Zyanna). She fondly calls him ‘Baby’ and see a childlike streak to him whenever he is around her. However, soon it is revealed that John may have a more sinister past. The Baby John trailer then gives us a glimpse of Dhawan as DCP Satya Verma who is a no-nonsense police officer. It is hinted that he faced a dangerous foe in a criminal called Babbar Sher (Jackie Shroff) whose gang members are have committed several criminal activities including rape against many innocent girls. These victims’ parents still seek justice.

It is shown that Satya Verma might lock horns with Babbar and might have undergone a personal loss which forms a major setback in his life. We are also given a glimpse at Keerthy Suresh’s character Meera who plays Satya’s wife while Wamiqa Gabbi’s character essays the role of Satya’s daughter’s teacher. The Baby John trailer thus hints at a riveting revenge story wherein Satya will spread his wings like a fiery eagle and will not accept defeat until he has finished off the perpetrators.

Varun Dhawan is a firecracker in this one. This has to be one of the most ambitious roles of the actor and the hard work, determination and angst which he has put into his performance is clearly visible. This is not an easy task since Varun’s character shifts between a fierce police officer and a pookie-galore father who is the apple of his daughter’s eye. He convincingly brings out the varied shades of his role skilfully.

Jackie Shroff’s menacing and macabre look also commands attention. He seems to be a formidable antagonist to watch out for. Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav and Sanya Malhotra (in a cameo appearance) come across as convincing in the trailer. The child artist Zara Zyanna who plays Varun’s daughter is too adorable to behold and has delivered a strong performance too.

And now coming to the Paisa-Vasool moment in the Baby John trailer. Bhai’s cameo will invite all the Seetis and cheers and how! Just a glimpse of his intense eye and two words, “Merry Christmas” and we are already seated for Salman Khan’s cameo in this one. The movie has been directed by Kalees and co-written by Atlee and Sumit Arora. It is the adaptation of the Thalapathy Vijay starrer 2016 film Theri. The movie will be released on December 25, 2024.

The Despatch trailer begins with Manoj Bajpayee playing a crime journalist for a publication named Despatch. He promises his editor that he will give him two front-page stories on the scams – 2G and GDR. However, when he starts working on these stories, he realizes that he has signed up for a suicide mission. He experiences several obstacles on the way including a threat to his life. The plot revolves around how Bajpayee’s character eventually goes on to unravel the mystery behind these 8000 crore scams.

It can be safely said that Manoj Bajpayee is the show-stealer in this one. The Despatch trailer has several moments wherein the actor shines and unleashes various shades of his character. Be it the scene wherein he intimidates an official about sending an ‘invitation card’ the next time or the scene wherein he feels vulnerable having experienced a threat to his life. His performance represents a character who is courageous, determined, and honest in his profession. The background score also keeps us hooked with the riveting theme of the movie.

This would be another path-breaking move by the filmmaker as he releases the making of the film officially in the theaters! Titled Zero Se Restart, it captures whatever went behind the making of this film.

The 2-minute 26-second trailer gives various shots and snippets from rehearsals and shooting. Interestingly, the director also revealed that it was a film that could have never seen the light of the day.

But defying all the norms and struggling every day the film finally saw the light of the day and it made Vikrant Massey the man of the moment. The man who honestly won hearts more than Shah Rukh Khan could that year with his three films – Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki!

12th Fail was a story of a struggle. A struggle of a boy from a village to turn his fate and build his career. But there was a bigger struggle to make this struggle story – a struggle that has been captured in Zero Se Restart – the story of the making of 12th Fail.

The title seems very apt as it worked in the film as well and brilliantly turned into the theme song of the film. Hopefully, this beautiful experiment turns into a successful one, making way for more such documentaries and makings of films finding their way to the screen and turning an important chapter on filmmaking as well!

The trailer for the Nana Patekar and Utkarsh Sharma starrer Vanvaas is finally out now. The movie has been directed and written by Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma. Here’s our trailer review for the same.

Vanvaas Trailer Review

The movie delves into an important message wherein children try to escape from their duty of taking care of their parents in their old age. Instead, they choose to abandon their parents when they are old, helpless, and vulnerable. The Vanvaas trailer shows Nana Patekar’s character as a dutiful man who has fulfilled his ‘Karam’ by bringing up his children. However, his children choose to leave him stranded at a pilgrimage spot and also declare him dead by forging a fake funeral and death certificate. Patekar’s character meets Utkarsh Sharma’s character, Veeru Bhaiya Volunteer, who, even though is cold towards him initially, agrees to help him reunite with his children. Veeru is also shown to be madly in love with Simrat Kaur’s character, as shown in the Vanvaas trailer.

One of the highlights of the Vanvaas trailer is the performance of Nana Patekar. There is not a single scene wherein he does not evoke the pain, empathy, and sorrow of being abandoned by his children. There is a scene wherein he refuses to belief that he has been left for dead by his children. Utkarsh Sharma tries to infuse that happy-go-lucky charm into his character, who undergoes a massive character transformation upon meeting Nana’s character. However, somewhere, we cannot connect and feel the stir of emotions in his performance. Patekar also tends to overshadow him in the emotionally high-octane scenes, and we wish we could empathize more with the camaraderie. We also don’t see the spark in his chemistry with Simrat Kaur’s character. Apart from this, the movie seems to have a fine blend of emotion, romance, drama, and soundtracks, which might give us a good family entertainer.

The trailer for the Kannada surrealist psychological action thriller flick UI has been released by the makers today (December 2). The movie has been directed by Upendra, who also stars in the same in the titular role. The film is set in a dystopian 2040 era wherein suffering, poverty, and corruption have started plaguing the earth.

UI Trailer Review

The UI Trailer begins with a scene wherein a man murders a person dressed in a clown costume. We then see the words, ‘The World Leaders Gifted U & I With Global Warming, COVID-19, AI, Inflation, Unemployment, Wars.’ We are then shown a glimpse of the world in 2040, wherein there is suffering all around. We see so much poverty around that the men are scantily clad and are wearing masks because of the disease and pollution. They have to fight for food and basic luxuries amongst each other. Because of the lack of basic amenities, some of the communities fight within themselves. There is also a prevailing caste system which determines the fate of the people. In the end, we see Upendra’s character dressed in a futuristic costume coming out of a car as he is swarmed by a group of protestors. He starts shooting them with an oversized gun as they run for their lives.

The UI trailer leaves us with a riveting and intense concept wherein all humanity has vanished from the earth. The costumes and cinematography try to do justice to the dystopian era. Some of the VFX, especially while showcasing the difference between the impoverished and the privileged, stands out. The performances look realistic, and there is a sense of mystery attached to Upendra’s character. However, UI bears a slight resemblance to the Prabhas starrer Kalki: 2898 AD when it comes to the underlying premise. It will be interesting to see whether this movie turns out to be different from the Nag Ashwin directorial film.

Mufasa: The Lion King’s final Hindi trailer has finally dropped, and it is filled with adventures and Shah Rukh Khan’s enigmatic voice-over acting. About the trailer –

It is a two-minute trailer that starts with Timon and Pumbaa speaking with Rafiki. The song Hakuna Matata pops up, and the fun duo adds a twist by changing it to Hakuna Mufasa. Rafiki tells a story to Kiara, about Mufasa and Taka.

Mufasa: The Lion King trailer showcases the young cub drifting in water as he gets discovered by Taka, another young lion cub who introduces Mufasa to the ways of royal pride. Shah Rukh Khan and his youngest AbRam perfectly embodied the young and mature Mufasa. It will be a treat to hear them in the feature film. This final trailer focuses more on Taka, his bond, and how it grows deeply.

Shah Rukh Khan is a global icon and a huge star in the country. He also voiced the character in the 2019 animated movie. It is exciting to hear his voice in this origin story, and he will have a more prominent role in this upcoming movie. Also, AbRam as young Mufasa is a treat for SRK fans who enjoy the youngest Khan’s shenanigans in videos and when he is seen with his papa.

The change in Hakuana Matata prepares the audience for the change in story as they embark on the journey to learn about Simba’s father in this movie. The trailer has moments that intrigue us to learn more about the strength between the two brothers from different mothers. Kiros is also shown in the trailer as the leader of the pride of white lions and his own set of plans. The important characters are eminently demonstrated in the trailer, and the Hindi voice cast is doing a commendable job.

About the movie:

Mufasa: The Lion King is the prequel and sequel to the 2019 movie The Lion King. It was directed by Barry Jenkins and takes place after the events of The Lion King. Rafiki tells the origin story of Taka and Mufasa to Kiara, daughter of Simba, and Nala, granddaughter of Mufasa. It also tells the origin story of the young prince Taka and the orphan Mufasa.

Shah Rukh Khan lent his voice to Mufasa, with Aryan Khan returning as Simba once again. AbRam voices young Mufasa, the cub. Sanjay Mishra plays Pumbaa, Shreyas Talpade plays Timon, Makarand Deshpande plays Rafiki, and Meiyang Chang plays Taka.

The trailer of the Netflix movie Sikandar Ka Muqaddar dropped recently. It stars Jimmy Shergill, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Avinash Tiwary in the lead roles. Set against the backdrop of a solitaire robbery in an exhibition, it has Jimmy once again in supercop mode after Phir Ayi Haseen Dillruba, wherein he is stuck between three suspects who could have committed the crime. Director Neeraj Pandey who has mastered the art of crime thrillers with his previous works, brings to us another gritty whodunnit crime drama.

The Sikandar Ka Muqaddar trailer begins with a robbery in broad daylight in an exhibition. After red solitaires of almost 50 to 60 crores are robbed, Jimmy Shergill’s character Jaswinder Singh, who happens to be a cop, is stuck between three suspects who happened to be at the crime scene. The first suspect is Rajiv Mehta’s character, Mangesh Desai. The other two suspects are Avinash Tiwary (Sikandar Sharma) and Tamannaah Bhatia (Kamini Singh), also a couple.

The trailer then shows Jaswinder being fixated on Sikandar and Kamini, believing they are only the culprits. The couple has to leave the country in fear of getting caught. What follows is a riveting cat-and-mouse chase between the two parties. Ultimately, when Sikandar confronts Shergill’s Jaswinder about denying him a dignified life, the latter says that his biopic would be called ‘Sikandar Ka Muqaddar.’

Vikrant Massey is tapping into some hard-hitting realities. After 12th Fail, the actor is all set to bring the heartbreaking tale of the Godhra train burning incident. The 2-minute and 52-second trailer begins with the tale of a journalist (played by Vikrant Massey), a Hindi-speaking reporter aspiring to make it big in the media world. His world changed one fine day when his senior (Ridhi Dogra) allegedly covered up the traumatic reality he experienced during the Godhra train incident while reporting. He became a victim of substance abuse in the aftermath until another reporter entered his life to showcase his side of the story.

As most know, the Godhra train burning incident remains unbeatable to date. There is one side that claims it was simply an accident. The other side believes it was a very well-planned act of arson committed by a thousand-strong Muslim mob.

More about The Sabarmati Report

It is based on the 2002 incident when the Sabarmati Express train was burned near the Godhra railway station in Gujarat, India. Around 59 Hindu pilgrims and karsevaks were killed, while many others were injured. The cause of the fire remains disputed to date.

The drama thriller was directed by Ranjan Chandel earlier, who was replaced by Dheeraj Sarna. The ensemble cast features Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra, and Raashii Khanna, among others. It is produced by Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures.

The Sabarmati Report will be released in theatres on November 15, 2024.
